Capital Radio Wants a baby

Malta Independent Saturday, 3 March 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

Capital Radio is on the look-out for a baby to become the new face of the station.

Mediacoop, the station’s mother organization has recently produced the hit children’s show Storja Tinkiteb on TVM, through it’s Audio Visual branch, and the same team is now gearing up to produce a TV advert like no other for Capital

The concept and storyboard are being kept secret for the time-being, but it will star a baby between the ages of 8-18 months, who as yet has not been cast

Station manager John Mallia and Programme controller Renald Bugeja said, “At Capital Radio we pride ourselves on being close to our listeners, and what better way to emphasize this relationship than to choose one of our listeners’ children to front our campaign? Ever since we first posted the idea on our website, we have been inundated with e-mails, phone calls and letters. Everybody seems to appreciate the opportunity we are giving for someone’s baby to become a TV star.”
