Valletta Fund Management has sponsored planets Earth and Neptune as part of the Planet Walk project carried out by Astro-Club Malta.

This unique project, which has been described by members of the group as “a walk along the solar system”, is on permanent display along the promenade of St Paul’s Bay.

The walk starts at the monument of the sun and continues on to eight other smaller monuments, each representing a planet. The size of each planet is in relation to the size of the sun, and the distance between each monument is also related to the actual distance between the planets. Information about each planet is given on a plaque in front of each monument and some information is also written in Braille.
