‘With A sorrowful and sad heart’

The “Ghaqda Filantropika Talent Mosti” will be putting up a musico-literary evening in the “Lily of the Valley” school at Wied il-Ghasel Street, Mosta, next door to the “Razzett tal-Marki Mallia Tabone”, the society’s head office, on Sunday, 25 March at 7pm. During the evening, there will be readings of literary works that focus on the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, with time for reflection on the problems and tribulations of our lives.

The theme of the evening will be “With a sorrowful and sad heart”. Charles Abela Mizzi, Charles Coleiro, Gorg Peresso and Margaret Agius will read selected works. Alexandra Camilleri and Charles Caruana will present the programme. The musical event will be in the hands of mezzo-soprano Clair Massa.

Everyone is invited to attend, entrance will be free.

Annual Holy Week Exhibition

On Tuesday, 27 March at 8pm, the ninth edition of the society’s traditional exhibition associated with Holy Week will be inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Dr Francis Zammit Dimech. The original exhibition is artistic and spiritual and is spread all over the Razzett tal-Marki¿ Mallia Tabone in Wied il-Ghasel Street, Mosta.

In this 17th century building, visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate artistic works of life-size statues, creative arrangements, lighting effects and music.

Entrance is free and parking is not a problem.

The exhibition will be open daily from 6pm to 9pm, on Sundays from 9.30am to noon, on Maundy Thursday from 6pm to 11pm, and on Good Friday from 9.30am to noon and from 5pm to 10pm.
