The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has informed the Public Health Department that it will resort to industrial action from Friday if there is no proposal “which makes sense” in relation to the care workers’ allowance.
A meeting on the subject was held yesterday by the union’s Health Section with the Management and Personnel Office, and the Finance and Public Health Departments, who made proposals which the union described as “a bit of an improvement” but were far from enough.
The union said it was no longer disposed to accept foot-dragging to arrive at something on which they all agreed in principle.
