Ira Losco has released her latest single called Arms of the Ones This is the second single off her unplugged album titled Unmasked, which was launched last December and has already reached number one in the local charts.
When asked about the nature of her latest single, Ira Losco replied: “Arms of the Ones speaks about the injustices in the world, related to war. It’s an appeal to those responsible for the cause of incessant futile conflicts. It’s a wake up call, to make them realise that their every action affects innocent people and children!”
Ira Losco has recently been in contact with War Child International, a network of independent organisations working across the world to help children affected by war.
“I believe every human being fulfils a purpose in life. I’m doing what I love best, but I feel that I can also give something in return.
“This is a cause I strongly believe in and I really want to make people aware of the atrocities that victims of war face. Even without knowing, our ignorance contributes to war. Piracy for instance, finances terrorism and crime. In the last ten years, War Child has achieved a lot. Hundreds of thousands of children have been reached with War Child programmes in more than 20 different war zones around the world. An infinite number of artists have also given their support to War Child and helping this particular organisation means a lot to me.”
Arms of the Ones is also accompanied by striking visuals depicting touching images of war and its victims at every performance. In the same way, Ira Losco’s upcoming Unplugged, Uncovered and Unmasked concert will also feature a big screen, synchronising each song to some very touching and meaningful visuals.
“This concert means a lot to me. Being my first official big concert, and also coinciding with the launch of the Vodafone music jam, there was no better way than to start with a one off unplugged concert closing off a chapter to my first ever unplugged album” she added.
When asked what can be expected from this concert, Howard Keith from Jagged House (Ira Losco’s management company) said: “We have been planning this concert for some time now and with a team of professional people working for this event, together with Vodafone, I’m confident that we now have a complete show which can compete with similar MTV unplugged performances.”
Ira Losco and her band will be also performing her latest single Arms of the Ones at the Vodafone jam Unplugged concert, as well as some well-kept surprises to be revealed on Saturday, 17 March at the Hilton.
Special guests also performing unplugged are Chasing Pandora, Scar and Daniel Genuis from Bitterside.
