Quarter-finals On ‘L-Isfida’

Malta Independent Saturday, 17 March 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

This week, Net TV’s popular talent competition L-Isfida goes into its final stage. With only three programmes left, the team system has now changed into a direct knock-out.

Last week Team A won the last team challenge and the two students to leave the programme were both actresses: Nerissa Pace and Lana Xuereb.

This means that the eight quarter-finalists are Sarah Mercieca, Hollie Cassar, Jesmond Fenech, Talitha Dimech, Samaria Bezzina, Elaine Falzon, Sarah Vella and Dario Mifsud Bonnici.

The producers and teaching faculty have chosen the first two challenges for Wednesday. Sarah Vella will challenge Elaine Falzon and Sarah Mercieca will challenge Talitha Dimech. The winners from these challenges will choose who to challenge next week in the semi-finals. There will be four finalists in the last programme being aired on Wednesday 4 April.

The final prestigious prize is a three-year scholarship at the Cambridge Body Works Theatre Company, worth over €35,000 donated to L-Isfida by Ms Theresa Kerr, director of the Cambridge Body Works Theatre Company.

“The next three programmes are challenging, even for us. Our students are pushing themselves beyond their limits and we really appreciate their efforts. The teachers are also constantly under scrutiny by all,” said producer and presenter Claudette Pace.

L-Isfida is on every Wednesday night at 8.30pm on NET TV.

All those wishing to be part of the live audience can call on 7941-4345.
