A woman was yesterday accused of assaulting and slightly injuring two prison warders at the Corradino Correctional Facility on 20 December last year.

Victoria Ebejer, 30, from St Julian’s, was accused of assaulting prison warders Karen Gafa and Vincienne Mangion, forcing them to do something against their will, offending and threatening them, slightly injuring them, disobeying their orders, breaching the peace, relapsing and breaching the conditions of previous court judgements.

Before Magistrate Audrey Demicoli, Ms Ebejer pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her.

Police Inspector Jesmond Borg prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono appeared for the accused.
