Earthrace, the biodiesel-fuelled power-boat that will be stopping over in Malta in its attempt to circumnavigate the world, collided with a boat in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The collision with a small Guatemalan fishing boat happened at 12.30am local time, on 17 March. Earthrace was involved in the collision with the small fibreglass boat off the coast of Guatemala.
The incident is expected to delay the legs of the world record attempt and the visit to Malta, planned for mid-April, which is being coordinated by local biodiesel producers EORC.
