The producers of television programme L-Ispjun yesterday denied the allegations made about the programme by the holders of the rights of the world-renowned programme Big Brother, which claimed that L-Ispjun breached intellectual property rights.

In a very short counter-protest filed yesterday, Watermelon Media and Communications Ltd said that the allegations and expectations of foreign companies Endemol International BV and Endemol Nederland BV were unfounded.

The company called on the foreign companies to withdraw the allegations and warned that it was holding them responsible for any damage the company or the programme L-Ispjun may sustain.

Dr Nicolette Cassar signed the writ.
