Gabriel Nansen, from San Francisco, California, who is living in Valletta, recently conducted an art workshop for children from various Maltese schools at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity.
The activity, held in collaboration with St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity and the US Embassy, was also attended by young refugees from a number of refugee homes in Malta.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their morning’s activity and Mr Nansen was impressed with the enthusiasm they showed. Although the majority of the children did not know each other, they soon overcame their shyness and worked happily together, expressing their imagination and feelings in their creations and comparing their efforts.
Mr Nansen’s works are on display at the Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce at 219 Republic Street, Valletta.
The exhibition is supported by the US Embassy in Malta and will be open until Tuesday.
