The Ornis committee has invited experts in the field of bird migration to offer their services for an independent scientific study on the migration of different varieties of turtle dove and quail in the Maltese islands.
The committee also invited members of both BirdLife (Malta) and the hunters, trappers and conservationists federation (FKNK) to participate by carrying out supervision on a voluntary basis during the scientific study, which will focus particularly on autumn and spring bird migration.
Experts will be employed on a part-time basis. Those interested may apply in writing, detailing all their expertise in the field. Applications, which will be accepted until 3 April, should be addressed to the Ornis Committee, c/o Rural Affairs and the Environment Ministry, Barriera Wharf, Valletta.
