Music, Dance and spectacle in BOV talent show

Malta Independent Saturday, 31 March 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

This year’s BOV Talent Show production – Indri dahal fl-Armata – attracted two full houses at St Agatha’s auditorium in Rabat.

The show, written and directed by BOV’s Birkirkara branch manager John Galea, with a cast and crew

comprised entirely of Bank of Valletta employees, was organised by the bank’s Sports and Social Club.

The 1950s era production incorporated war songs by the soldiers and bar staff accompanied by a rock and roll band, pop and jive dancing by the troupe of dancers and costumes from the era, and on both nights the audience was also treated to a spectacle of comedy delivered by the BOV employees who made up the cast.

BOV director Marlene Mizzi, who is also the president of BOV’s Sports and Social Club, congratulated the production team and all the participants on the excellent show they staged for this fourth BOV talent show.

All the proceeds from the event are being donated to charity.
