The Suncrest Hotel re-opened its doors last month following an ambitious 11-week Lm500,000 refurbishment programme.
The refurbishment project, aimed at providing an innovative and quality-conscious service, consisted mainly of the upgrading of the technical plant, the guest rooms and the public areas.
The conference facilities were also upgraded and now include parquet flooring as well as a new sound and visual system. Restaurants, kitchens and service areas were also revamped.
During the hotel’s closure, a restructuring and reorganising drive was carried out with the recruitment of new staff at all levels.
Congratulating all the contractors and employees for completing the work on time, Suncrest Hotel general manager Philippe Lonfat said the refurbishment has strengthened the Suncrest as a year round hotel, attracting out-of-season trade especially in the conference and incentive business. “With this kind of upgrading there is no reason why we should not be able to target top end events as well.
Mr Lonfat also expressed his satisfaction with the positive trend of bookings for the coming weeks and emphasised that the launch of the Suncrest new interactive web site www.suncresthotel.com, will definitely help increase bookings from the tourist trade as well as from individual bookings.
