Malta Independent Thursday, 5 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Agenda Bookshop will hold the third annual grand book sale at the Ballroom of Le Meridien Phoenicia Hotel in Floriana between Saturday 7 and Sunday 15 April in aid of the Eden Foundation.

With prices starting from 99 cents, customers can enjoy discounts of up to 75 per cent on a wide range of brand new books, covering genres as diverse as travel, business, fiction and non-fiction, thrillers, science fiction, biography, architecture, cookery, and body, mind and spirit, to children’s books, textbooks, reference books, and coffee-table books.

“This annual event provides our customers with an opportunity to stock up on good books at seriously slashed prices while also helping children with development disabilities,” said Simon Debono, Marketing Manager for Miller Distributors Ltd, owners of Agenda Bookshop. “The Eden Foundation’s running costs amount to Lm3,200 daily. Agenda Bookshop organises The Grand Book Sale to lend its support towards the Foundation’s good cause and this is the reason why the event has become an integral part of the SOS Eden Campaign.”

The book sale is open every day from 10am to 8pm and on Sunday between 10am and 9pm. It will be closed on Easter Sunday, 8 April.
