A 24-year-old man from Lija died tragically yesterday after having crashed his motorcycle on the Coast Road, Salini, at 5.30am yesterday morning.

Preliminary on-site investigations by the police did not reveal the cause of the accident.

The man was admitted to St Luke’s Hospital yesterday morning, where he was certified as being in danger of dying. He succumbed to his injuries a short while later. The duty

magistrate was informed and appointed a number of experts to assist in an onsite inquiry.

Further investigations by the police are underway.
