No one was injured when a lotto booth was held up on Valley Road, Birkirkara during the late afternoon of Saturday. According to police investigations, which are still underway, an armed man entered the lotto booth and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Only the lotto receiver was in the booth at the time of the hold up and, fortunately, no one was injured.
Duty Magistrate Antonio Mizzi has appointed a number of experts to help in the inquiry.
