Agenda Bookshops are currently holding a book fair in aid of Eden Foundation at the Ball Room of the Meridien Phoenicia Hotel.
Renato Vella, Eden Foundation fund-raising manager told The Malta Independent that the book sale has been organised for the last three years. The foundation will receive a percentage of the revenue gained from the sale. Mr Vella said the foundation is currently with a daily deficit of Lm500. To this end, he said, the Eden Foundation is encouraging other firms to give a helping hand to the foundation.
Visitors will find a choice of over 55,000 books, which are changed on a daily basis. Genres vary from music, movies, fiction, cooking, non-fiction and textbooks. Books sold are at a discount of up to 75 per cent and those who buy six paperbacks will receive a book for free. The book fair is open on weekdays and on Saturday from 10am to 8pm. On Sunday, it will be open until 9pm.
