The Scout Association of the United Kingdom is once again privileged to hold its Parade and Review of Queen’s Scouts in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle, followed by the National Scout Service in St George Chapel.

The parade annually celebrates the achievements of several hundred young men and women, mostly aged 20 to 25 years, who had recently gained their queen’s Scout Award. The Review is usually carried out by the Queen herself, who is most active in support of Scouting’s work.

The National Scout Service includes the Renewal of the Scout Promise, as well as re-dedication of one’s commitment to, “Do ones Duty to God, Country, and to Help others at all time.”

With the current year being the World Scouting’s Centenary, and to add a special dimension to the annual event, Her Majesty has accepted the Scout Association’s suggestion that invitations to attend the Parade and Service be extended to Queen’s Scout Awardees from all Commonwealth countries.

Two Maltese Scouts, Anthony Debono (First Sliema Scout Group) and Marcel Borg (Xaghajra Scout Group), both Dolphin Scout Award Holders (Malta’s equivalent to the Queen’s Scout Award), will join other Commonwealth top-award holders, for a weekend of activities, that include sightseeing of central London, among the prestigious service itself.
