On 9 June, upon the initiative of Malta High Commissioner to London Michael Refalo, the Maltese community in the United Kingdom has been invited to gather at Westminster Cathedral for the celebration of a Mass of Thanksgiving following the canonisation by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI of Malta’s first saint, Dun Gorg Preca.

The Right Reverend Monsignor George Stack, Auxiliary Bishop (Westminster Diocese) will preside Holy Mass. Maltese priests and clergymen serving their ministry in the United Kingdom are invited to concelebrate.

The High Commissioner has appointed a committee composed of representatives of the Maltese presbytery, religious orders, associations and organisations in the United Kingdom and London-based members of the Society of Christian Doctrine (MUSEUM) to help in the organisation.

The Mass will begin at 2pm.
