On the occasion of Mother’s Day 2007, being celebrated on Sunday, 13 May, Agenda Bookshop is launching an original promotion. Help another mother this Mother’s Day will be in aid of mothers in need, in collaboration with social welfare organisation Appogg.
During the week leading up to Mother’s Day, all Agenda customers spending Lm10 or more on books, excluding textbooks, will have 10 per cent of what they spend passed on to Appogg to support mothers in need. Customers will also receive an open Thank You card that can be used as a Mother’s Day card. There will also be other special Mother’s Day offers on books at all Agenda retail outlets.
“The efforts made by Appogg to provide special care and support for children and their families in need are praiseworthy and admirable,” said Agenda Bookshop marketing executive Rachelle Tabone. “We have chosen a different kind of promotion to contribute towards the services Appogg provides to enhance the lives of mothers in need.”
Appogg, part of the Foundation for Social Welfare Services, aims to enhance the lives of people in need through the provision and availability of professional care and support. Today the organisation has become the core of social welfare services in Malta.
Offering over 25 specialised and generic social welfare services, Appogg has become the central national agency for children and families in need. Members of the public who need more inform-ation about the services can call Supportline 179, available 24 hours a day, or access the agency’s website www.appogg.gov.mt
