A man was jailed for eight months yesterday after admitting possession of a stolen car stereo and relapsing.

Mario Buhagiar, 38, from Valletta, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a stolen car stereo in April 2003 and to relapsing.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli heard how Buhagiar had a number of convictions on his criminal record and that he had not learnt anything from these convictions. She said the defendant had not taken the opportunity to get his life back on the right track and therefore jailed him for eight months.

Police Inspector Geoffrey Azzopardi prosecuted.
