The MUSEUM Christian Doctrine Society is commemorating the canonisation of its founder on 3 June, and its first centenary, by inviting local and foreign artists to participate in an exhibition with the theme Dun Gorg Preca – The Man and his Mission.
Paintings, prints, ceramics and sculpture will be featured in the exhibition in October, interpreting and exalting the saint’s life and teachings and the society’s various missions both local and abroad. Artists who would like to participate are invited to submit not more than two works.
A jury composed of artist Joseph Casha, art critic Louis Saliba and SDC representative Vincent Mangani, has been appointed to organise the exhibition.
All the pieces selected for inclusion in the exhibition will be featured in an catalogue.
More information about the event can be obtained either by writing to: Dun Gorg – The Man and His Mission Exhibition, SDC MUSEUM, Marsa Cross Road, Blata l-Bajda, or by email to [email protected], or by visiting the website at www.sdcmuseum.org
The closing date for applications is 25 June.
