The coming summer will be “exceptional” in terms of music and cultural activities being held, Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said yesterday.
When tourists know that their favourite singer will be giving a concert in a given place, they will do their utmost to be there, he said, when he launched the Drink, Peel and Win with Coca Cola and Music events, that include three musical performances.
Coca Cola chose the Bryan Adams concert, the XFM Musical Festival and the Renzo Arbore concert for their promotion in June and July. More activities are planned for August.
The minister spoke about the success of the Notte Gozitana, which
followed a similar result for the Notte Bianca in October and the Notte Magica in January.
Dr Zammit Dimech said that the concerts being organised by private enterprise complement the activities organised by the government, and the ministry therefore encouraged the organisers and gave them all its support.
