A man charged with theft and another charged with handling stolen property were yesterday remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to the charges brought against them.
Kenneth Borg, from Rabat, was accused of stealing more than Lm1,000 worth of items from a house owned by Bernadette Cassar in Birbal Street in Balzan on 8 May at around 10am. He was also accused of stealing an HP laptop from a car parked in St Julian’s between April and July last year.
Bradley-Reno Sapiano, 32, was accused of receiving stolen property, being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and relapsing.
Before magistrate Anthony Vella, the two men pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them. They were refused bail and remanded in custody.
