Pitbull gives heartfelt message to Maltese cancer patient during Ta' Qali concert

A touching moment unfolded during Pitbull's concert in Ta' Qali on Sunday night when the American artist noticed a fan's sign about Maltese cancer patient Cheyenne Muscat and urged the crowd of around 40,000 people to show their support.

The moment began when one of Cheyenne's friends, known on social media as @thebriefcaseman, held up a sign reading: "My friend has cancer, she loves you."

Pitbull noticed the sign and stopped the show to address the crowd. He said he knew people who had battled cancer and stressed that the love and support of those around them could provide strength and motivation.

He then encouraged the crowd to join him in shouting against cancer and expressing their solidarity with Cheyenne.

Speaking after the concert, Cheyenne described the experience as surreal, saying she felt the support of thousands of people.

She added that after the concert, several people she had never met before stopped to hug her and wish her a full recovery.

The concert formed part of Pitbull's I'm Back! Tour and featured special guest Lil Jon, who also performed during the evening.

Known to fans as "Mr Worldwide," the Grammy Award-winning performer entertained the crowd with a string of his biggest hits, including Don't Stop the Party, Fireball, Timber, Give Me Everything, and I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho), among others.

The concert ended with a fireworks display as thousands of fans made their way out of the Ta' Qali National Park.

Given the scale of the event, organisers had implemented a traffic management plan which meant private vehicles were not permitted to park near the venue, with shuttle buses operating from several locations across Malta instead.

Throughout the night, many concertgoers embraced the now-global "Bald E's" trend by wearing bald caps, sunglasses, shirts and a black tie, in tribute to Pitbull's iconic "Mr Worldwide" look.

Backed by his live band The Agents and dance crew The Most Bad Ones, the Grammy Award-winning artist delivered a high-energy performance complete with large-scale visuals, pyrotechnics and choreography.
