High Tea in aid of Beyond the Moon

Malta Independent Saturday, 26 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The Sports and Welfare Committee of the Corinthia Palace Hotel will be organising a fund-raising activity tomorrow in aid of Beyond the Moon, an international non-profit charitable association that aids seriously ill children from all over the world by offering them and their immediate family an all-expenses-paid holi-day in a child-friendly resort. This enables the family to spend valuable quality time with their loved ones, in what could well be their last real holiday together. The event, a high tea and tombola, will start at 3pm in the Chameleon Hall of the Corinthia Palace Hotel, and finish at 6pm. There will also be stalls selling plants and books.

The Corinthia Palace management and staff are hoping to collect enough money from this and other activities to be able to send a Maltese child suffering from a life-threatening disease on a completely cost-free and carefree holiday far away from hospitals and daily treatments.

Beyond the Moon, which is based in Belgium, has been adopted by Corinthia Hotels International as its “Community Partner” throughout its chain of hotels.

Further details of the event may be obtained from the Corinthia Palace Hotel on telephone number: 2144-0301.
