The Curia yesterday said that it had received reports that some people were selling holy pictures of the Blessed Dun Gorg Preca, saying that the pictures had been placed against the body of the priest.
The Curia pointed out that on 12 March, the postulator of the canonisation cause, Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, in agreement with the MUSEUM Christian Society and the Curia, had announced that no public collection of money would be made to cover the costs of the beatification process.
It emphasised that all authentic relics of the saint can only be distributed by the Church and the MUSEUM society, and all are free of charge.
