Capital Radio is nine years old and to celebrate the station is organising a unique experience – Capital Radio’s Big Night Out at Buskett Road House on Saturday 14 July. The attractions of the evening will include a performance by legendary 1980s act Bad Boys Blue. First formed in Germany in 1984 as an alternative to the group Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue took Europe by storm becoming iconic in their own right. With their own unique style and delivery, tracks like You’re a Woman, Lady in Black, and I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat defined a generation. And they are still in demand today, releasing new material and touring non-stop, especially around Europe. The group’s fan base in Malta has always been very strong and the huge number of requests for Bad Boys Blue songs that the station receives daily was a key factor in deciding to invite them to perform during Capital Radio‘s Big Night Out. Station manager John Mallia and programme controller Renald Bugeja said that Bad Boys Blue will create a wonderful party atmosphere and will give at least an hour-long performance guaranteeing a great time for all those who attend just as in previous parties featuring shows by Samantha Fox, Corona and CC Catch.
