The Malta Transport Authority notifies that due to infrastructural work to be carried out at the Erba’ Mwiezeb Roundabout in conjunction with the St Paul’s Bay Bypass Project being funded by the European Union, the following diversions are being implemented:

Tuesday and Wednesday

As surfacing work will be carried out on the Erba’ Mwiezeb Roundabout Junction, no access will be allowed across this junction to and from Burmarrad.

Therefore, public transport and vehicular traffic travelling in the direction of Mosta and Valletta will be diverted to Kennedy Drive, Triq is-Salini, Salina/Iklin Road, Telgha t’Alla w Ommu, T’Alla w Ommu Roundabout (Naxxar) through Triq il-Fortizza, Triq il-Forti, Triq id-Difiza Civili and on to Targa Gap Roundabout (Mosta). Alternatively, southbound vehicular traffic can proceed from Xemxija Roundabout (Olympic Grove), to Triq Ghajn Tuffieha, Triq Sir Temi Zammit, Triq il-Mosta (Mgarr), Tal-Qlejja Roundabout. Northbound vehicular traffic from Mosta travelling in the direction of St Paul’s Bay will be diverted at Targa Gap Roundabout (Mosta) through to Triq id-Difiza Civila, Triq il-Forti, Triq il-Fortizza, t’ Alla w Ommu Roundabout (Naxxar) and through Telgha t’Alla w Ommu, Triq is-Salini and Kennedy Drive. Triq l-Erba’ Mwiezeb, St Paul’s Bay will be changed to two-way traffic for the duration of this diversion.

A shuttle service is being organised for residents and users from Targa Gap to Burmarrad and vice versa.

A shuttle service will operate between Burmarrad and Valletta and vice versa, as follows:

Valletta to Burmarrad:

06.00, 06.45, 07.15, 08.00, 09.00, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00, 16.00, 17.00, 18.00, 19.00, 20.00, 21.00, 21.30

Burmarrad to Valletta:

06.00, 06.30 (RT 75 via St Luke’s Hospital), 07.00, 07.30, 08.00, 09.00, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00 (RT 75 via St Luke’s Hospital), 16.00, 17.00, 18.00, 19.00, 20.00, 21.00
