Malta’s Heritage promoted with harbour visitors

VISET Malta plc and Heritage Malta have agreed to jointly promote Malta’s heritage with the global cruise liner industry. The two organisations are using their core competencies to promote what Malta, as a cruise destination, has to offer.

VISET’s monthly electronic newsletter News from the Vaults goes out to the decision-makers and influencers of the global cruise industry, and will be including a section dedicated to Heritage Malta, promoting Malta’s World Heritage sites, attractions, exhibitions and other events that are held regularly, or from time to time.

VISET Malta plc general manager Chris Paris said: “This collaboration will intensify our strategic marketing and will contribute greatly to the promotion of Malta’s treasures with prospective cruise liner passengers disembarking at the Valletta Waterfront. It is our great pleasure to make use of what VISET has built over the last few years to showcase our island’s most important historic and artistic treasures.”

Heritage Malta chief executive Luciano Mule Stagno welcomed this move as another step in helping promote Heritage Malta sites and museums with a very important sector of the public.

Apart from 21 museums and sites, that are open on a daily basis, Heritage Malta regularly organises temporary exhibitions, heritage trails, open days and other special events that help to provide visitors with an enhanced

experience.
