Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech has launched the ChiaroScuro Concept – a franchise cafeteria with a difference, in Strait Street, Valletta.
ChiaroScuro is a brand of Mokaflor that has been created to promote high quality projects – new blends, valuable single origin coffees, fancy items, coffee machines and much more.
The ChiaroScuro project has its roots in Florence, where a pilot project was conducted. The motto of the project being: “no bean is too small not to have a world inside”, ChiaroScuro’s concept of coffee is the starting point for a whole universe of preparations and proposals.
Moreover, the style of the ChiaroScuro selling points is neither hi-tech, nor simply Italian: it is a charming and warm world, drawn by the light colours of wood and copper.
Minister Zammit Dimech said the new cafeteria will add to the quality services offered to locals and tourists alike.
Such attractions improve the country’s image as a tourist destination, he said, adding that competition in the tourism sector is only increasing, so it is extremely important to offer the best possible services.
The minister said that due to the capital’s popularity among tourists, it was important to protect it and embellish it, so that it will continue to be an effective promotional showcase for the country.
