A 52-year-old man from Birkirkara was yesterday granted bail after he pleaded not guilty to insulting and threatening to kill his wife and son.
Silvio Templeman Agius was accused, before Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani, with insulting and threatening to kill his wife, Rita Templeman, and his son Kevin on Monday in Birkirkara.
He also pleaded not guilty to threatening them with a knife, breaching the peace and owning a knife without a licence issued by the Police Commissioner.
Magistrate Padovani granted Mr Templeman Agius bail against a deposit of Lm500 and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.
Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted while Dr Mark Busuttil appeared for the accused.
