Two teenagers whose names cannot be mentioned since they are still minors were yesterday charged with handling stolen property in November 2005 and before.

The boys were charged with falsifying registration plates and using false registration plates. One of them was charged with stealing a car from Kirkop on 1 August 2005, while both of them were further charged with damaging the stolen car.

Before Magistrate Saviour Demicoli, the boys pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.

Police Inspector Stephen Mallia prosecuted. Dr Franco Debono and Dr Marion Camilleri appeared for one of the minors while Dr Richard Sladden appeared for the other.
