A man has been jailed for one year after he was found guilty of holding a three-year-old girl against her will as well as of seriously injuring an elderly woman and slightly injuring another woman.
Alexander Micallef, 34, from Santa Venera, was jailed by magistrate Miriam Hayman after he was found guilty of the charges brought against him. He was however cleared of abducting the child.
Police Inspectors Kevin Farrugia and Louise Calleja prosecuted.
