A man suffered grievous injuries following an in Għajn Tuffieħa Road, Mġarr, on Sunday, the police said.

The police immediately went to the scene, where it was established that a traffic accident had occurred between a Voge motorcycle, driven by a 27-year-old man residing in Qormi, and a Toyota Yaris Cross, being driven by a 43-year-old man residing in Mosta.

The motorcycle rider received assistance from a medical team and was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

The accident happened at 4pm.

Police investigations into this incident are still ongoing.
