The Sports and Welfare Committee of the Corinthia Palace Hotel organised a fund-raising High Tea and Tombola on Sunday 27 May in aid of Beyond the Moon, an international non-profit charitable association that aids seriously ill children by affording them the opportunity of spending valuable quality time with their loved ones, in what could well be their last real vacation together.

A grand total of Lm570 was collected from this event which, together with funds collected from similar activities, will enable the Corinthia Palace to nominate a Maltese child suffering from a life-threatening disease, and his or her immediate family, for a completely cost-free and carefree holiday in a child friendly holiday destination, far away from hospitals and daily treatments.

The activity was sponsored among others by the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Corinthia Group of Companies, Airmalta Company Ltd and Vodafone.

Beyond the Moon is a Belgium-based charity which has been adopted by Corinthia Hotels International as its community partner throughout its chain of hotels.
