In the context of Germany’s EU-Presidency, the German Department for Foreign Affairs presents the cultural event Europa Der blaue Stern. The event takes place today in the famous concert hall on the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin.

Gerard James Borg (right) was selected by Dr Gabriele Minz GmbH to write his views about Europe. Artists, writers, politicians and scientists from different countries were asked to give their personal contribution and individual thoughts. On the occasion of this event, their text or extracts will be published and presented in the concert hall. The aim of this cultural event is to collect individual thoughts from different generations from various national backgrounds for a united Europe.

The 100 thoughts will be published in Der Tagespiegel – Berlin’s daily newspaper. A selection of the contributions will also be produced by Radio Paradiso.
