GlobalCapital, together with Jugs Malta, organised a full-day team-building event for all its members of staff last weekend. The activity, held at Fort St Angelo in Birgu, was aimed to further enhance team spirit across all departments in the group.
As the group continues to grow and the company’s services widen, improved relations among members of staff is vital to offer top quality service to customers. The activity-packed day required the various teams taking part to engage in challenging yet fun games that encourage team effort.
Welcomed by the Master of Ceremonies and cannon blasts from Upper Barrakka, the games were based on a medieval theme and included activities such building of wood and rope bridges, reproduction of gauntlet games as well as sword fighting.
Fort St Angelo was certainly an ideal backdrop for this event. The rain failed to dampen the participants’ spirits. Motivation and enthusiasm ran high as company members faced the challenges backed by the support of their respective teams.
The team-building day was concluded with a prize-giving ceremony and a brief address by Nicholas Portelli, chief executive officer, who had words of praise for the successful event and confirmed the company’s intention to hold a similar event at least on an annual basis.
