The Maltese police yesterday said that they had received another three reports from people claiming they had seen the abducted four-year-old Madeleine McCann in Malta.

In a statement, the police said the first report was filed by a Maltese man who claimed that around 10 days ago, he saw a young child who looked like Madeleine in a pushchair in the company of a woman at the Birzebbuga playing field.

The police said another report was filed by a Maltese man who said that around a month-and-a-half ago in Ta’ Xbiex, he saw a girl who looked like the abducted British girl.

The third and final report was filed by a Maltese woman who told police that on 22 June, she saw a girl who looked like Madeleine in a pushchair in Valletta. She was in a company of a woman, the police said.

The police said that all investigations into these reports have proved negative so far but said that investigations will continue and that the police are leaving no stone unturned in this regard.
