Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is offering a fantastic summer deal to Maltese customers wishing to visit Dubai during the summer major attraction, Dubai Summer Surprises 2007 (DSS). The offer is valid for travel up to 31 August and with immediate effect.
Passengers flying on business or economy class can now benefit from a 50% reduction on the companion fare, provided that the two passengers travel together to Dubai and are confirmed on the same booking – departing and returning together in Malta.
This year DSS 2007 is celebrating its 10th anniversary with various activities focusing on family entertainment, shopping and winning. For 10 weeks, shopping malls and venues adopt special themes and promotions for the DSS, which commenced on 21 June and will end on 31 August.
DSS is the summer counterpart of the popular Dubai Shopping Festival.
The festival was first launched in 1998 and has since become one among the major shopping and entertainment events in the region.
Organised by the government departments with the cooperation of the public sector, the DSS is a celebration of different surprises that offer visitors and shoppers the perfect family entertainment opportunity and the ideal combination of shopping and adventure.
Emirates operates five flights weekly between Malta and Dubai via Larnaca in Cyprus, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on the Boeing 777-200.
Paul Fleri Soler, Emirates manager for Malta and Cyprus, said: “We are offering a 50 per cent reduction on the companion fare to give our customers the opportunity to visit Dubai during this grand summer event. DSS is a rich mix of entertainment, learning for the children and great shopping for their parents.
Shopping malls are the main venue for the events each offering fantastic discounts, raffles and valuable prizes.”
