APS Bank plc and Nexi S.p.A., one of Europe's leading PayTech companies, are strengthening their longstanding business relationship through the rollout of the Cashere ATM network across Malta and Gozo. Building on the two's established collaboration, the initiative further extends Nexi's presence across Europe while broadening access to self-service banking locally.
The first Cashere-APS branded ATMs are now available, with more locations to be rolled out over the coming months. In addition to cash withdrawals, the machines offer contactless functionality, balance enquiries, PIN changes and banknote selection. APS Bank customers will continue to benefit from unlimited free cash withdrawals at the new Cashere-APS branded ATMs, just as they do at existing APS ATMs.
Headquartered in Milan, Italy, Nexi provides the infrastructure and services that enable digital payments for banks, merchants, businesses, public institutions, and consumers. Nexi's ATM strategy of developing transaction and banking infrastructure layers as an outsourced managed service for banks complements APS Bank's investment in enhancing its ATM network experience. Customers can find their nearest ATM by visiting apsbank.com.mt/branches-and-atms/.
Commenting on the collaboration, Gordon Gilford, Head of Electronic Channels at APS Bank, said: "This partnership is about much more than the roll-out of a network of modern cash machines. By working with Nexi, we are extending access to convenient self-service banking, investing in services that make everyday banking simpler and more accessible for our customers."
Juraj Tomanka, Regional Manager at Nexi, added: "Our relationship with APS Bank has been built over many years, making it the natural partner for the rollout of the Cashere ATM network in Malta. As Europe's payment infrastructure, Nexi enables banks to deliver secure, reliable and innovative payment and banking services at scale. We look forward to continuing to work together to further strengthen the customer experience."
