Audrey Mercieca is a local artist who hails from Luqa and lives in Gozo. She studied history of art, painting and drawing techniques under Dr Joseph Paul Cassar and continued attending lectures of painting and drawing by Charles Cassar, Anton Calleja, Philip Agius and Alfred Briffa. She is a member of the Pastel Society of Malta. Audrey also takes great interest in doing models in clay as she studied clay modelling under Angelo Agius. Audrey Mercieca is showing her paintings of figures and portraits at Matthew's Bar & Restaurant which is open until the end of July. Her work not only reflects a good understanding of the elements and principles of design but also her heart and passion for painting.
