Malta’s Magic 91.7 is to broadcast the Live Earth concerts, featuring some of the biggest names in music.
The popular radio station will offer live coverage from the London concert tonight and will bring listeners highlights from the rest of the world.
Organised to raise awareness of climate change, Live Earth is a massive series of concerts taking place over seven continents.
“We’re delighted to be able to team up with the BBC and offer live performances from big names such as Madonna, James Blunt, U2 and Genesis on Magic 91.7,” said Simon Lumsden, head of programming at PBS.
“Coldplay, Duran Duran, Corrine Bailey Rae, Razorlight and Snow Patrol will also be performing on the day from the new Wembley Stadium.”
The Live Earth event marks the beginning of a multi-year campaign led by the Alliance for Climate Protection, The Climate Group and other international organizations to drive individuals, corporations and governments to take action to solve global warming.
