Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech recently met Miss Malta, Rania Zouari from Gudja, to congratulate her on winning the crown.

Rania is currently in Thessaloniki, Greece, to take part in the Miss Mediterranean 2007 contest, which was held at the Casino Hyatt. She also took part in The Festival of Tourism 2007 in Athens to choose Miss Tourism of the World 2007, organised by Planet Management Co. Ltd, in collaboration with the Minister of Development and Tourism in Greece.

Dr Saviour Falzon, Malta’s ambassador to Greece, hosted Rania during the above events.

Dr Zammit Dimech gave Rania an official gift to be presented to the Minister of Development and Tourism in Greece during the highlights of the Festival of Tourism 2007.

The minister also gave her a personal gift in acknowledgement of her achievements in promoting the Maltese tourism industry in international events abroad.
