Last Saturday, The Eden Cinemas hosted National Cinema Day where film lovers enjoyed a day full of films and fun.
Offering low prices and a large selection of top films, as well as bowling, St. George’s Bay was alive and kicking all day. Entertainers, animators, puppeteers and magicians entertained children and adults alike, while patrons filtered in and out of the 17 cinemas in the multiplex.
Shrek the Third was the number one seller of the day, with virtual sell-outs for each performance. In total, almost 4,000 people watched this particular film. Fantastic Four – Rise of the Silver Surfer came in in second place and Pirates of the Caribbean in third.
On the day, the Eden SuperBowl also offered the same discounted price of Lm1.30 to make St George’s Bay the ideal family destination.
Approximately 15,000 patrons visited the Eden Cinemas and the Eden SuperBowl.
National Cinema Day was sponsored by Nesquick, McDonalds and Kinnie Zest and was organised in
conjunction with KRS film distributors.
