The SOS Eden Campaign has recently received the contribution of Bank of Valletta, in support of the Eden Foundation.

The Bank’s sponsorship was presented by George DeCesare, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Zejtun Branch to Bro Martin fsc President of The Eden Foundation. “The Bank has a very active Social pillar within its extensive Community Programme” said Mr DeCesare. “Bank of Valletta has regularly supported the Eden Foundation’s work within the Maltese community and today we are delighted to extend our support by sponsoring the SOS Eden campaign,” added Mr. DeCesare.

Bro Martin thanked Bank of Valletta for its support and said “The Eden Foundation is an educational and therapeutic centre for children, young adults and their families. People come to the Foundation to get what they need so that they can function in mainstream society, within a community that could be a school, the work place, the village or town, the church or even places of entertainment”.

“I take this opportunity to encourage other institutions or individuals to present donations to the SOS Eden Campaign so that we can continue assisting our students”, concluded Bro Martin.

Established in 1992, the Eden Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit, charitable organisation. At the moment, the Foundation educates and gives support to 343 students with learning disability. Running at a daily loss of LM500 and with an additional 50 students on the waiting list, the situation is hardly sustainable. Set up with the scope of partnering individuals with learning disabilities, in order to help them achieve full inclusion to the best of their abilities by gaining access to mainstream education, employment and leisure activities, the Foundation seeks to lead its students towards an independent life.
