Court: Man Pleads not guilty to committing arson

A 30-year-old man from Qormi was granted bail

yesterday after he denied committing arson.

Kevin Caruana pleaded not guilty to arson and damaging a car and a bike on Saturday.

Before magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera, he also pleaded not guilty to damaging a garage door, the façade of two apartments in Valletta and relapsing.

Magistrate Scerri Herrera granted Mr Caruana bail against a deposit of Lm200 and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police inspectors Stephen Mallia and Anthony Portelli prosecuted and Dr Michael Sciriha appeared for the accused.
