Diesel and kerosene will go up by six mils and seven mils per litre respectively from today, following a request from Enemalta Corporation to the Malta Resources Authority.

The corporation said that comparing the impact of price rises on oils sold to pumps with those for fuel oil, showed that the rise in the price of fuel, particularly petrol, was much lower than that for power station oils. This was due to much higher increases in the price of fuel oil than in the price of other oils.
