Talitha Dimech won the fourth edition of the Golden Cross International Singing Festival, held on 27 July at Xlendi bay, with her song Jien Illum. The lyrics are by Natasha Turner and the song was composed by Ivan Debattista.

Nineteen songs competed in three categories.

• Second place – Bandiera Maltija, sung by Antoine Farrugia, lyrics by Josephine Ebejer Grech, composed by Priscilla Psaila

• Third place – Share with You sung by Diana Mickaela Formosa, lyrics and composition by Miriam Christine Warner

Category B

• First place – Mis-Skiet Tieghek sung by Domenique Azzopardi, lyrics by Chris Azzopardi, composed by Priscilla Psaila

• Second place – Karbet l-Innocenti sung by Albertine Abela, lyrics by Sunny Aquilina, composed by Domnic Cini

• Third place – Gmiel il-Holqien sung by Jodie Farrugia, lyrics by Kav. J. M. Attard, composed by Spiro Sillato

Category C

• First place – Dinja ohra flimkien sung by Jorje Bosios, lyrics by Aimie Fenech, composed by Frederick Scerri

• Second place – Ilhna sung by Carlos u Marie Claire, lyrics by Rita Pace, composed by Elton Zarb

• Third place – Nghixu fil-paci sung by Yanica Formosa, lyrics by Kav. J.M. Attard, composed by Teddie Zammit

The prize for Best Interpretation was won by the singer Daphne Xuereb with the song Dawl li Jnemnem written and composed by Augusto Cardinali.
