Following last year’s successful Golden Oldies, and more recently, Flashback, Spiteri Lucas Entertainment has teamed up with the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts to produce a spectacular music production not to be missed by one and all. On 6 and 7 August, the open-air Old Opera House (Teatru Rjal) in Valletta will be transformed into a hall of fame with a music show paying tribute to musical legends.
The Legends of Music is a live, entertaining show featuring hits by some of the greatest legends ever to grace the history of Pop music. It promises to be one of the most spectacular shows of this summer’s Malta Arts Festival and one that will surely bring the crowd to its feet.
The show features songs by legendary artists from both the present and the past, such as Edith Piaf, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, Connie Francis, crooning legend Frank Sinatra, Ike and Tina Turner, Tom Jones, John Denver, Neil Diamond, Country and Western golden voice Tammy Wynette, The Beatles, The Monkees, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Blues Brothers, Madonna, Queen and Celine Dion, as well as the soulful voices of James Brown, Wilson Pickett and The Temptations. There is also room for a couple of Italian greats such as Gianni Morandi and the unforgettable Lucio Battisti.
Hit numbers like Always on my Mind, Suspicious Minds, The Young Ones, New York New York, River Deep Mountain High, Proud Mary, Annie’s Song, Not Unusual, Stand by your Man, Material Girl, I Feel Good, In the Midnight Hour and My Girl, just to mention a few, are featured prominently in the production.

All the artistes will be backed by a live, seven-piece band under the direction of popular musician and singer Mark Spiteri Lucas.
